Description
qiandao soundless cracking agent is a calcium-oxide-based expansive powder designed to split rock and concrete through controlled pressure inside pre-drilled holes. After the powder is mixed with water and poured into the holes, hydration produces strong, sustained expansion. The resulting force creates cracks along the planned drilling line without the use of explosive blasting.
This static demolition method is suitable for quarrying, civil construction, foundation work and selective concrete removal. It is especially useful when the project requires a controlled crack path or when conventional blasting is restricted. The final result depends on correct model selection, borehole design, the available free surface and the physical properties of the material being split.

Choose the Correct SCA Grade
Temperature has a major influence on hydration speed and jobsite performance. Choose the grade according to the actual ambient temperature during application:

Performance and Mixing Data
Under standard laboratory conditions, the initial setting time is at least 10 minutes and the final setting time is no more than 150 minutes. The recommended powder-to-water ratio is generally 1:0.28-0.32 by mass. The prepared slurry should be poured into the boreholes within 10 minutes after mixing.
The product can reach a maximum expansion pressure of 60-90 MPa. Typical cracking takes 6-24 hours at 20-30°C, although actual timing varies with temperature, borehole layout, material strength and free-surface conditions. Technical data is referenced to JC/T 506-2008.
How to Use Soundless Cracking Agent

Drill: Prepare 32-40 mm boreholes following the desired crack path. Do not exceed 42 mm.

Clean: Remove drilling dust and standing water from every hole.

Mix: Add the measured water and mix thoroughly until the slurry has no dry lumps.

Fill: Pour the slurry densely into the prepared holes within 10 minutes.

Keep clear: Move personnel away from the hole openings and allow the expansion process to develop.
Hole depth should normally be at least 70% of the target splitting thickness. Typical spacing is 200-350 mm for natural rock and 150-250 mm for reinforced concrete. These values are general references; a small field trial should be completed before full-scale work.
Applications
The qiandao soundless cracking agent can be used for quarry block separation, natural-rock splitting, trench and foundation work, reinforced-concrete fragmentation and selective demolition. It is intended only for filling pre-drilled holes.
Safety, Packing and Storage
The mixed slurry is strongly alkaline, with a pH above 13.5. Hydration also generates significant heat and may cause slurry to eject from a borehole. Wear safety goggles, alkali-resistant gloves and protective clothing. Never look into or stand directly in front of a filled hole.
Do not blend this material into fresh concrete or UHPC. It is not a shrinkage-compensating concrete admixture. In case of skin or eye contact, rinse continuously with plenty of clean water and seek medical attention when necessary.
The product is packed in 20 KG woven bags with inner plastic liners. Keep the bags sealed in a dry, ventilated warehouse and protect them from rain or moisture. Shelf life is 18 months in the original sealed package. Use opened material promptly.
