Based on the principle of closest packing, UHPC uses ultrafine active particles to fill voids and steel fibers to enhance toughness, minimizing macroscopic defects in multi-component composite systems. UHPC significantly improves the strength utilization efficiency of steel in concrete, creating a new steel-concrete composite model with a more coordinated combination of concrete, steel fibers, and rebar. It exhibits exceptionally high resistance to compression, bending, wear, explosion, and seepage, making it particularly suitable for use in long-span bridges, explosion-resistant structures, thin-walled structures, and in highly abrasive environments.
