Product Overview
Our Naphthalene Superplasticizer (also known as SNF – Sodium Naphthalene Formaldehyde, or PNS – Polynaphthalene Sulfonate) is a high-range water-reducing admixture manufactured through sulfonation, hydrolysis, condensation, and neutralization processes. This product is widely used in ready-mix concrete plants and precast concrete production due to its reliable performance, high strength gain, and excellent cost-effectiveness.
It complies with ASTM C494 Type F (High-Range Water-Reducing Admixture) and BS EN 934-2 standards.

Key Advantages
- High Water Reduction: Achieves 20%–28% water reduction, significantly improving concrete strength and durability while maintaining excellent workability.
- Substantial Strength Enhancement: Increases 3-day compressive strength by 50%–70% and 28-day strength by 30%–50% compared to reference concrete.
- Broad Cement Adaptability: Performs well with ordinary Portland cement, Portland pozzolana cement, Portland slag cement, and various blend cements.
- Excellent Plasticizing Effect: Significantly improves concrete fluidity, making placement and compaction easier even with low water-cement ratios.
- Low Dosage, High Efficiency: Recommended dosage range is economical and delivers consistent results across a wide range of mix designs.
- Reliable Quality: Produced under strict process control to ensure product consistency and stable performance in every batch.
- Cost-Effective Solution: Delivers reliable performance at a competitive price point, making it the #1 choice for ready-mix plants looking for a balance of quality and economy.
Recommended Dosage
- Liquid form: 0.5% – 1.5% by weight of cementitious materials
- Powder form: 0.3% – 0.8% by weight of cementitious materials
Note: The optimal dosage should be determined through trial batches based on specific project specifications, cement type, and ambient temperature.
Typical Applications
- Ready-mix concrete for commercial and residential projects
- High-strength structural concrete (C30 – C60)
- Precast concrete products (piles, pipes, railway sleepers, blocks)
- Pumping concrete for high-rise construction
- Mass concrete pours and large-volume foundations
- Shotcrete and tunnel lining applications
Compatibility & Mixing Instructions
- Can be added directly to the concrete mixer with the mixing water
- For optimal results, add after 70%–80% of water has been added to the mix
- Compatible with most cement types, fly ash, slag, and silica fume
- Should not be used together with calcium lignosulfonate-based retarders without prior testing
Packaging & Storage
- Liquid: 200kg drums, 1,000kg IBC totes, or 20,000kg – 25,000kg tanker trucks
- Powder: 25kg kraft paper bags with PE inner liner, or 500kg/1,000kg jumbo bulk bags
- Shelf Life: 12 months for liquid (sealed container, 5°C – 35°C); 24 months for powder (dry conditions)
- Storage Conditions: Store in a cool, dry, well-ventilated area. Avoid prolonged exposure to moisture for powder products.
Quality Assurance
Our naphthalene superplasticizer is manufactured in ISO 9001 and ISO 14001 certified facilities. Each production batch is tested for water reduction rate, solid content, pH value, fluidity, and compressive strength. A Certificate of Analysis (COA) is provided with every shipment. SGS and BV third-party inspections are available upon request.
